NET-A-PORTER X MR PORTER ART BASEL PARTY
Mr. Gumbatron was in Hong Kong to visit the first edition of the Art Basel tour for 2016 during 22nd March- 26th March.
The social events began last night (22nd March) with a private cocktail party hosted by NET-A-PORTER and MR. PORTER for the launch of Art Basel Hong Kong in Wan Chai’s iconic The Pawn restaurant and bar. The event also celebrated their new Art Basel feature/s in The Edit and The Journal publications.
Over 260 guests turned out at the Art Basel party, tastemakers and cities party regulars such as Fei Ping Chang, Zhu Zhu, Denise Ho, Alan Lo and more (who I had just read about in the Hong Kong Tatler on the 9.25hr flight over) were spotted.
With free flowing Ruinart Brut champagne, bespoke cocktails and decadent canapés by The Pawn including truffle mac & cheese, wagyu beef sliders and cured meats/antipastos. Live Jazz performances, Hong Kong art work, interactive displays, as well as images of creative influencers displayed on the walls added to a sophisticated and luxurious ambiance. The stylish team at
