Aesop unveils its Aurner perfume with limited edition jewellery by Patcharavipa Bodiratnangkura.
Subverting the conventions of a floral fragrance, Aesops latest aroma draws on the poetic tensions between tenderness and strength, with Magnolia Leaf, Roman Chamomile and Cedar Heart.
Aurner Eau de Parfum is a defiant floral fragrance with unexpected contrasts: rousing green spice converges with herbaceous depths, while resonant Magnolia Leaf finds roots in sumptuous woody notes. The latest fragrance by long time collaborator Celine Barel.

A DEFIANT BLOOM
The name Aurner comes from an Old Norse verb meaning ‘to be adorned, to be embellished with flowers’, echoing how the fragrance enrobes the skin—and in so doing, emboldens the wearer. The fragrance was created with Céline Barel, who created the very first Aesop fragrance Tacit Eau de Parfum more than 10 years ago. In the perfumers own words ‘Aurner is designed as an evolutionary step within Aesop’s aromatic world. It is a truly defiant bloom, offering a different perspective on floral fragrance.’

For the launch of Aurner, Aesop has partnered with Thai fine jewellery designer Patcharavipa Bodiratnangkura. She is known for fusing traditional Thai craftsmanship with the Japanese design philosophy of wabi-sabi, the designer’s creations embody and embrace beauty of imperfection and transience. Bodiratnangkura has materialised the defiant nature of Aurner Eau de Parfum via a limited-edition ear cuff.

About the designer.
Based in Bangkok, Patcharavipa melds traditional Thai craftsmanship with the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi, which centres on ideas of transience and imperfection. While her pieces have been worn by world-renowned actors and singers, they remain distinctly personal.
A limited-edition creation.
With just 200 pieces available, the Aurner Ear Cuff is a truly unique jewellery piece, handcrafted from Rhodium-plated 925 Sterling Silver. Delicate in form, yet resilient in materiality, it echoes the olfactive tensions within the aroma that inspired it. The ear cuff is unisex and can be worn multiple ways.

Mr Gumbatron had the pleasure to be invited to the launch of launch of Aurner Eau de Parfum in Hong Kong.
Embarking on a multi-sensorial journey into the world of Aesop Fragrance: Aurner Eau de Parfum. The experience was guided by an Aesop fragrance expert, as we navigated our way through different spaces evoking and engaging different aromatic tensions that make up this unconventional scent. as floral abundance gives way to unexpected discoveries.
As part of the experience, we were also invited to experience the limited-editon jewellery piece inspired by the new parfum, created by Patcharavipa Bodiratngkura.
